Who is Linderman Group Architects, Inc.? The Linderman Group Architects, Inc. (LGA) was founded in 1980 as a niche architectural shop focusing on turnkey solutions for commercial and municipal clients. The company was born from the observation that many larger firms had lost sight of what was truly important – the client. LGA prides itself on our commitment to listening to our clients and steering them towards achieving the most effective, cost-efficient design to meet their particular needs. Good design starts with good ideas, and good ideas cannot be achieved without fully understanding the needs and desires of the client. This is the core of our philosophy. Over the years LGA has worked with an impressive variety of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to major international airports, from local municipalities to historical renovations. Despite our impressive track record, we have chosen to remain small – we turn down more work than we accept – allowing us to remain responsive and focused on our niche. LGA does not believe in glossy presentations, or blindsiding clients with a seemingly impressive array of bells and whistles. We keep our overhead expenses low so we can focus on what is truly important – the custom-tailored creative process. From the initial conception through necessary studies, site planning, code enforcement, bidding process, construction management, to final closeout, LGA is there to serve our clients every step of the way. He is a graduate of Carnegie Institute of Technology (Carnegie Mellon University), and currently holds active architectural licenses in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, New York and California in addition to his NCARB license. Richard is also recognized by the United States Green Building Council as being a LEED Accredited Professional, recognizing his efforts to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. He is also a certified accessibility inspector/plans examiner with the International Code Council and the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, and a certified Pennsylvania Building Code Official. Since 1980, Richard has served as principal of Linderman Group Architects, Inc.. Richard is very active with a wide range of professional and civic organizations, throughout Delaware County and beyond. He is extremely proud of his involvement with the preservation and redevelopment of historic Chester, PA, home to Linderman Group Architects, Inc..
